Sidi Stivali, or Sidi Boots as they are known in English, is a world class category of motorcycling boots made by leading Italian manufacturer of cycling shoes Sidi. For more than 40 years, Sidi have been progressing their stivali to ensure that they meet and exceed the standards of quality, protection, durability and style. Sidi’s current catalogue of products presents a number of high performance boots which range considerably in price:
Saber is a tailor made boot for motocross. It is produced in Lorica and suede printed wear to isolate the leg from heat. The frontal one is in flexible polyurethane plastic. The outer is covered in Cambrelle and the sole is in rubber. A ‘pacesetter’ on the sole allows greater grip. The heel is rigid but adaptable. This is a boot suitable for beginners.
The Charger is a middle-tier stivali which comprises of full-grain leather. The leg is entirely assembled by screws and seamless. Inside the leg is a gaiter with padded bellows for increased comfort, while a Velcro strap improves its attachment to the leg. The sole is anti-skid rubber, while the footbed is removable for added comfort.
Also produced in Lorica, the Trial Zero is a competitive Sidi stivali designed to isolate the leg from external heat. The front is made from polyurethane, and the boot is completely covered with Cambrelle. The rubber sole is ‘especially designed for better grip’, and the heel is ‘rigid and shock resistant’ and shaped anatomically. This boot is similar in many ways to the Saber.
The Discovery Rain’s anatomical design and unique features provide good protection from the elements. The outer membrane is made with a combination of leather and Lorica, which will prove durable and resistant. The design and adjustable closures give these boots a great fit, making them comfortable for walking as well as cycling. This is Sidi’s exclusive rain boot.
Sidi’s Crossfire Supermoto stivali have an aggressive look combined with comfort and technology. These boots are often chosen by drivers and champions, for contests over every type of ground. Made of leather with Lorica inserts, they are suitable for all weather conditions. The closure consists of four levers that work independently of each other, allowing for extreme fit, while the rubber anti-slip ensures good grip.
Sidi’s B2 boots, also produced in Lorica, are lined with a breathable material and treated with Teflon, which acts as a protection against water and sweat. The closure is traditional with zipper and velcro, with an external protection on the ankles. The insole is made of plastic with a removable footbed. Internal padding adds comfort and a reflective insert is featured on the back. This is a great Sidi stivali for racing.
Safety, security and comfort are the hallmarks of Sidi’s Vertigo line. These products also allow great customisability; including adjustment for the “shock absorbing” calf guard behind the heel, and adjustable air vents. Equipped with a ventilation system Folding VERTIGO boots have zipper with elastic insert for better adjustability. Sidi’s Vortice are something of a combination between the B2 and Vertigo, allying comfort, breathability with great customisability, in addition to the first class protection you always expect from Sidi stivali.
